I think it is a 10mm. Since it does not have the larger flat washer, I'd say it is not for the airbox. It is most likely MF244828, which is one of the original five "gold" ones in the spark plug channel on the valve cover.

If it is a 12mm, I'd say for pretty sure it is MF241309, or an exhaust hangar bolt. The pic is deceiving though. Throw a ruler down next to it.

I'd agree with you, but it looks like a 10mm bolt from this angle..

I knew for sure they were not the 10mm bolts that hold the airbox down... I'm holding those in my hand. They are double washered, with the flat one being about 4-5x the diameter. I've got to run, but now my interest is really peaked! Esp
now with the ruler, I'm puzzled. Guess it will have to wait for me

eh, I don't think so.

It's been a loooong while, but I seem to remember a big ole bolt near the battery/intake area. I don't have any pictures of it, so I can't double check.

But if I think about the size of the bolt, it could be apart of the subframe, but 1) all those bolts are installed. 2) The head of the bolt says "4" on it, which I'm assuming is a grade marking. Thus it'd be too soft for a subframe or that type of area.

It's too big to be used in the inside of the car.

The trunk doesn't have any bolts that big.

So I'm back to square one, it's got to be from the engine bay.

Hey, you guys look like you might be able to help me, lol... i am looking to confirm that the # printed on the end of the titanium alumide TD05 turbine wheel/shaft is: 4J26709.

Reason is, i just had a 03' turbo rebuilt with this wheel and I'm looking for a way to confirm that's what I got. I have no reason to suspect otherwise... I'm more just curious, as the new wheel is already mounted and balanced so i can't compare weights and they are visuallly identical except for the laser etched code on the nut on top of the wheel

Thanks and BTW the bolt above looks pretty clean for an exhaust hanger ... What about lower or upper IC pipe to bracket bolts, I remember they went through big rubber bushings.

^^Thanks man.

Bolsen, is it the giant bolt that holds the spare tire down in the trunk well?
