APS EVO-8 330 HP bolt on system

Has anyone had any experience with the APS EVO-8 Engineered Bolt-On 330 HP Bolt on system? It looks like a pretty good way to get into the 300 hp range from stock but I havn't found anyone talking about it so I'm thinking maybe I should go a different direction with my new '05.

I wouldn't buy it. You get an intake, exhaust, BOV, engine management, and a water resevoir. First off, the intake and BOV are unnecessary. You can save your money by going for a JDM MR DV, or a Forge DV. Save even more money by NOT getting an intake. Just get a MBC, TBE, flash, DV and 255lph FP. I'm sure that'll be much cheaper and it will get you into the 300 range I'm sure. Oh yes, that water resevoir is another waste of money.

By the way, they're advertising 300 crank hp, just so you know.

LoL, not a problem. My wife's currently in the Tigard area while I'm deployed. Be on the look out for a BBY (blue by you ) with silly ricer vinals on the side.

I forgot to add, you'll want to get an 02 housing and lower intercooler pipe at somepoint as well. I think those may be my next upgrades too.

Just look around the forums and you'll find a million and one suggestions, most of them good.

O.k. So a boost controller-is that part of a typical blowoff valve and is that different from a diverter valve? the TBE is a given. Who can perform this "flash" I've read so much about?

Well, before a certain someone, or someone's come in here and flame you, I am going to suggest you do a search.

All of those questions have been answered many times, especially in the newb forums.

Now, a boost controller and blow off valve are completely different. The BC controls boost (obviously) and the BOV releases boost in off-throttle situations. A BOV generally vents to atmosphere, and a DV recirculates back into the intake track.

Ha, I've got the Newbie Vocab guide open for all of this. I've been researching stuff for the last month or so while I've been getting serious about buying an evo. I finally went for it last week so now I'm in.

anyone like the APS turbo kit?
since i have aps bov,.,..i must say i love the quality of their bov,
so i m thinking their turbo kit might be good too!
i like the fact that they using cast mainfold .
