HorsepowerFreaks Turbo Kit Teaser (Pics!)

Finished kit pictures on Page 2 post #29!

Dyno results start on Page 6 post #77!

After several weeks of R&D, we now have a picture of the first HorsepowerFreaks turbo kit installed on my Evo. Absolutely no expense has been spared in the design to ensure the best quality and maximum performance and I'll have a full features list with pricing shortly. Keep an eye out for my post in the vendor section for complete details and pricing in the coming weeks. We will have at least 3 of these kits on the shelf as soon as they are released and will always keep shelf stock. This means no more long waits and broken promises with expected dates to ship, they will be in stock! The second you are ready to order your turbo kit we'll have it out the door to you with tracking the same day. Without further ado...

The kits will only be sold complete as our parts are fabricated under such tight tolerances that a custom setup would require so much time and money to fit and work properly that the cost would be substantially higher than buying the kit complete.

hey tom...shoot me a PM with specs and pricing when you get a chance...are you having trouble fitting nuts to the studs above some of the runners? Looks like there might be a clearance issue...i guess if smaller nuts are needed, you will supply them with the kit?

BTW, got the exhaust in, but havent had a chance to take a look at it yet...ill take some install pics this weekend

all you would have to do is pull the mani forward a bit, put the nuts on and you should be good to go.

That looks very nice, super clean. I kinda always wondered when making a manifold, do you put a flange on the head and somehow hold the turbo where you want it to end up? Than just run the pipes to it? Or is there somekinda jig everyone uses?

It is yet to be determined whether or not we'll be including a new upper radiator pipe or some form of heat shield for the stock unit. The issue will definitely be addressed and I'll have details when the kit is ready for release.

I will have a full write-up with details when the kits are in stock and you will be of the first to know. Installation of the manifold nuts was not a problem but anything you will need as far as hardware is concerned will be included in the kit. It will be 100% complete, no hardware store runs here

My kit is a 35R center section but we felt that the T3 exhaust side Garrett uses is too small for the top end we are expecting. Garrett's T3 exhaust housing has been exchanged for a Precision T4 with .68 A/R and V-band outlet thus our manifold uses a T4 flange. The compressor housing has also been swapped out for Precision's "S" cover. There may be smaller and larger options available though we are attempting to design this turbo system to make the best balance of fast spool and wicked top end with this combination.

We will be including a slim fan with the kit as the stock fan just will not fit. I will be looking into aftermarket radiator options and will include those details in the full release thread when these kits are finalized and ready to ship.
