Battery Relocation
I've been planning on making intercooler piping for a while now, and most aftermarket kits require the mini battery kit to fit a shorter uicp. I dont have the money, so I wanted to find a way to make room for a new uicp, and this is what I came up with:

Hmmmm...not sure but it is very easy. Get a two THICK gauge electrical lines (one for positive, one for negative) run them under the car(or through the firewall and hind the line behind the interior panels) to the trunk. Connect one line to the positive wiring harness battery terminal, and other to the negative. Bolt the battery in the trunk (preferably in the center). If you run without a spare tire you might be able to fit it in the spare tire wheel well and hide all the electrical lines as well. Wallah! This will help improve the Evo's crappy front/rear weight distribution, as well as lower it's ungodly high center of gravity.

just buy Taylor battery relocation kit..
i payed $76 CAN for it...comes with all the wiring and a nifty aluminium box for it....
but if run track you will need an external battery kill switch....
check out this link for pics of the battery in the trunk in RA

I did the trunk battery relocation on mine. Wasn't that tough. Ended up going with a cutoff switch since I do track racing. It's a must and I suggest it to everyone who does this. What would be the best uicp we can now run since there's so much more room w/o the battery taking up "half" the hood space?

I was thinking of relocating it to the trunk, however if you do that you must install a cutof switch on the back of the car to race at the track, and I didn't want to do that since it is a daily driver. Also this was a free mod, so why pay from 30 to 50 dollars for a kit when you can do it for free?

i always wondered how its done to invert the battery so its verticle? is it a kit or just need to turn around the brackets for the battery..
i was hesitant on putting the battery in the trunk because im planning on getting meth. and its not a genious act to place the battery and meth in the same place i believe
