Need Injector help FAST!

Hey guys just pulled my car in the garage and noticed a very strong smell of gas. Checked all the injectors and it appears one of the "seals" or "groments" on the fuel rail side of one of the injectors is ripped and is leaking.

What exactly is this called? I'm pretty sure I resued the stock part as it's pretty soft rubber... The injectors are Precision 780's from BR.. they came with a harder rubber groment but I think I must have read somewhere to reuse the stock piece.

If anyone can tell me where I can get one of these ASAP I would appreciate it. If this doesn't make since I apoligize.. the fumes have gotten to me.. Race gas is strong stuff

be careful when installing them, they car tear easily, espically when fitting the injectors into the fuel rail. I always use a small amount of lube on them to make sure they slide in better.

local autopart store would be your quick fix. take an o-ring with you to match the size or get some calipers and chekc the size without stretching it. or goto the dealership and get the correct size and rubber hardness for more of a longterm fix

and a small amount of lube is a must. i used the oil off my dipstick after cleaning it with my finger when i did my injectors

Yeah I did this install in Buschurs parking lot during a winter storm.. wasn't fun at all.

All four O rings (fuel rail side) are shot. The groments will probably need to be replace as well.

Hopefully I can find something locally today.

helps easier installation w/o tearing up the o ring. o rings are made of viton.....so a thin film of mobil 1 or petroleum jelly will work.

Try your local autoparts stores first before getting something next day aired. Most places will sell a fuel injector o-ring and grommet set in a little box. You can also use some rubber o-rings for a temporary fix if needed. Good luck.
