just wondering who has boost leak with the new FMIC, or piping.

this is gonna be one of my upgrades if I can decied that the risk is worth the reward.

i would appreciate any input from IX owners or installers that have done this upgrade on the 9

i did when i first got it. just a word of advice dont go with the greddy licp...everyone i know who has, had a leak. get the ams or one just like it.

i ended up swapping my greddy licp for ams licp and away went the leak.

I have the AMS LICP and intercooler on my IX and never had any boost leaks. ALthough I did purchase some heavy duty t-bolt clamps because I blew off my pipind at 130mph racing a SL65. The stock clamps are pretty crappy.

my AMS LICP flew off twice so far, and it was also leaking. I am using a combo of constant torque and t-bolt clamps for it

I've decided to go with a 1 piece unit (Nisei) so well see what happens then

99% of the time it not the parts fault for the leak .
No mater what year , make... if your messing with Ic/Ic pipes you should do a boost leak test !

Just get t-bolt clamps. They usually cost around $4-5 per clamp.

ROFL...

horsepower freaks also makes a 1-piece unit, and they seem real good as well, search for it on this site, and youll see a thread for it

as far as the nisei piece goes, you can get it from www.myevostore.com, but that is for the WHOLE piping set, not just the LICP. If you want just the LICP, call Kevin from Nisei, awesome guy and great to work with. http://www.nisei-evo.com/index.html

The AMS piece is awesome, I am not knocking it at all, I just want a 1 piece unit. I know several people that are running the AMS without problems. Its pretty much preference.
