Thankfully this didn't get sucked in at the track last night. I was using launch control and eased off the clutch to launch the car and it pretty much fell on its face. I got it back to the pits and found this:

Thats the most I could get it straightened out at the track with no allen wrenches or toothpicks (works wonders)

Now you probably wish you had the MAFTpro back. Must be nice to be moving that much air. Best of luck getting everything running again.

Some days I miss it. But Scott is getting me something a little different this time around. Once I get it all sorted out I'll have a write-up on it.

Is the dump from the DV entering perpendicular at the intake or does it enter at an angle and discharge in the direction of the MAF?

Hell ya, that is Smoggyspec bro! Here's mine from about a year ago:

I know that this also happened to Trinababe with his/her 35R. Mine happened at 27 lbs too but with a 2.3 and a 35R.

First off, thats what it looked like last night before I had to rig the screen in the MAF to get the car home, although your looks a little worse off.

RoughedgesMR - not sure on the whp of the car, since there is no AWD dyno around me and AMS seems to be booked up all the time.

jj_008 - its a BR intake on the car except for the filter, yes the DV valve is perpendicular to the intake stream and not pointed towards the maf screen.

justchil - too bad its not a dsm

I'm just saying for a quick fix. I ran my evo for almost 2 months without the honeycomb (although I may have "tuned" around it).

Hmm, interesting. I tried starting the car with the honeycomb out. Although it would start it died out within a few seconds.

As I said earlier I am moving to a new type of MAF and should have it running within a week or 2. I am moving to a blow- through type set-up utilizing a GM MAF sensor. I already spoke with MalibuJack on this since he is already running a similar type set-up, I figure talk with him and get some quick info on the subject. Im sure i will have questions along the way as i do this, but i have every hope that some people will try to help in the best way possible that has been done before on here.
