Ha! All your sweet parts always make me spend a bunch of money. It's cool that a customer's parts on his car can prompt a vendor/tuner to make a purchase. Glad I could be of service!!

with the stock rotor weight posted above (21.35 and 14.6) and OEM wheel weight of 20.5lb... going to Baer 2-piece eradispeed rotors (16 and 11.7 quoted from machevo) and Kosei K1 Ts's (15.5 quoted from tirerack) i've saved a total or 36.5 lbs of unsprung rotational weight...

thats HUGE

16.5 lbs saved with the rotor upgrade and 20lbs with the wheel upgrade

anybody know if eibach springs weigh less than stock?

please correct me if any of the above numbers are wrong...

However, the posted weight of items is often not correct. As David said in the beggining of this thread, the advertised weight of the Project Mu rotors was totally off.
Did you keep the stock tires? If not what did the new ones weigh?

i put the nearly bald (cheater slicks) OEM tires back on so they weigh even less then when they were new...

I did get them, they are 15.8#'s each. I have not put them on yet. I won't be dyno'ing them when I do.

damn so 15.8 compared to 17.4 of the Girodisc??? Thats another good amount of weigh savings.

Have most people had good success with the Baers that drive them on a daily basis? That extra 1.6lb of weight loss makes them a little more attractive.

Also Dave, are they the Eradispeed + rotors?

I've got the Eradispeed+'s frint and rear and LOVE them so far. had them on about 8-10K with DS2500 pads. Not sure how quick they're wearing. also, taking them to the track in a week and a half... can't wait!

I have no idea what an eradispeed rotor is, never heard of them until you just said it.

We are working on a new rotor for the EVO now

eradispeed is Baer's rotor name. the Eradispeed is a plain (possibly drilled or slotted) direct replacement rotor. the Eradispeed+ is the two-piece rotor. Just their name for that line of rotors...

Ahh, I see on the Eradispeed. The Baer's I have here are the two piece aluminum hat rotors.

Cool! Any more details you can share? Target weight (lighter then Baer)? Two piece? Timeframe?
