If the part identified as 1 is a hose, it would appear that this is a vacuum controlled unit. Don't know if that would work on the EVO or not. Worth some additional research on the tech site.

The kits offered by Rostra are available as a vacuum control or electronic unit controlled by signals received from the ECU. Looks like a god piece but you have to have them installed by an authorized dealer. Cost could be a factor here.

Yes, the factory unit is a vacum controled unit. #4 is a "vacume pump"

Does the EVO have this pump?

autoloc has very good products. why not get a group buy. lower the cost some and with ten to fifteen units installed we can get it documented on the web

usually there will be a vacum pump or and a cannister to store vacum for boost situation. climate control is probably vacum operated... so they should have some of these components.
