Cruse controll for 2003 Evo

Just got my New Blue EVO yesterday. Its a kick butt car to drive, you can not help but love it.
Anyways, I would like to get cruse controll on the car for those long trips I will be taking.
Has anyone done this are is anyone planning on doing this? Would like to get some ideas.

EVO's ruling the highway!

Thxs
Michael

i was thinking the same thing, i have taken two long *** trips already and its a pain in the *** to deal with keeping the foot on the throttle the whole damn time... i wonder whats involved in that process, pain in the *** or simple, either way i would like to know.

I have asked my dealer about this already and from what I was told the Lancer cuise control can not be mounted in the Evo. They are supposed to get back to me and let me know how much it will cost to put in an aftermarket cruise control

Hooking up an aftermarket cruise isn't real difficult. Finding one that will fit nicely and look good might not be easy though.

We should all keep up on this. I hate not having it as I am always on the freeway. I need one so bad. I know it's a rally car, but still I want one.

Autoloc is a great company too. I installed an autoloc trunk pop on my car and it works like a charm.....

Their very high on quality, 200 bux is nothing for a cruise control...

This is kind of stupid, but it is a deal breaker for me. Looking forward to hearing someone having success getting one installed cleanly. I HATE the idea of cutting into the factory loom.

Anyway, waiting to hear a success story.

So, would this be an extra stalk mounted somewhere? Where? I like the them, as they look like it's fixed, with three buttons.

I was thinking this stalk wouldnt work, and Id get a dash mounted unit with buttons.

I assume we can use an electronic unit, and not the vacuum cruise?

Hey folks I found this on the mitsubishi official tech site. These are the schematics from the service manual for installing cruise control in a normal lancer. I wonder if it would work for the EVO?
