Where is the Nitrous?? Choosing a turbo
Hello everyone..
I rarely hear of experirences with nitrous from EvoM guys...Anyone with good or bad experiences would chim in? whats their setting?....Whats the turbo that is best for street (with a 2.3l ) and can give big power with nitrous. I will be using nitrous ocasionaly, so the turbo needs to be very streetable with out nitrous. I will be using alky almost all the time.

1) if untuned, fuel pressure drops, nitrous pressure drops, then WHOOPSIE there goes a rod....
2) getting the bottle filled is a pain. no where around my area can i get one filled.
and
3) meth injection/water injection in the long run is easier(IMHO) to maintain. just fill up with water/meth/water and meth and have fun. no need to worry about bottle heaters, bottle pressures, etc.

I've been researching nitrous a lot for a project I was going to build but ended up selling off for an evo that I want. I've learned a few things:
Yes nitrous will hurt you, but do research. It's safe as long as you're not stupid with it. The safest thing to do is put a lot of fuel in the cylinders also (yes, too much fuel is a bad thing). Nitrous is a great way to get a lot of easy power...obviously ask Ultimate CC from what he said...Just do a lot of research, and try to find someone who has a lot of racing experience with it. I've learned a lot just from asking people I know that race with it.
I'm still learning the evo "import" world, but this is definitely a route I'm researching...

I ran a Zex kit on my mustang for a couple months and it was great. with the Zex the control box does most of the work, as with anything else a tune will net you the most gain. but the Zex kits monitor FP and bottle pressure if FP gets too low, it kills the nitrous. back in indiana there are filling stations all over, but i have not found one here in Cali. i do agree that water/alky/meth is cheaper in the long run. but i think the initial costs are about the same, and both need to be tuned to achieve max potential. the main draw for me is that i already have a complete nitrous system.
