Are you asking because you've had problems with it? I haven't had any problems with mine other than the noise.

I have had mine since March 24 2006 and other than the whine I have had no problems with it. I highly recommend it on a modified EVO.

How hard is it to install a mkiv supra pump in our cars? They are quiet and actually flow more at high pressure...

It is not a straight bolt-in affair. I already tried it. They are not very quiet either. I have used the Supra pumps in a couple of my DSM's and while they are easily fitted on the pump assembly they are "noisy". Good luck.

I've only ever heard good things. Mine has worked flawlessly for... about 1000 miles now.

If any, it seems like it'd be a freak isolated event.. There might be a few failures among the crows that's running the pump to or beyond it's limits... If you're worried about getting one, don't. (I mean don't worry about it, just get one).

It's a little noisy, meaning you'll hear it whining a bit when you're stopped at a light but that's all.
