Its a cool idea but it wont help any way in performance, it will just be obnoxiously loud. I have a Tial 44mm external dump with my turbo kit....its cool sounding but i might have it welded back into the DP b/c its almost too loud

Woke up on the wrong side of the bed didn't we ? Don't worry about why people are doing this, all people are asking for is video footage of what it sounds & looks like on the street. That is all. People, including myself are curious. Very simple buddy.

I didn't single you out and say that you were doing it because it was loud so no need to take it personally. I'm just saying that more often than not this is going to attract the Catback, Bov & Intake sporters as it's just another way to generate 'look at me' noise. Though I would love to see before & after numbers with a setup like this.
As far as tickets go, It is an exhaust. It's an open dump which is 1.) loud as all hell 2.) illegal for road use anywhere. You'll have a better chance of getting an exhaust ticket if a cop hears your car with the WG open.

Besides, you won't be hearing anything from a dump unless your WOT. And if your going WOT on the street, then your just begging for attention reguardless of whats done to your car.

Regarding the actual setup, the torque gain in the midrange is VERY apparent. Ive had my 2 friends drive the car and without telling them where I felt extra power both said the car hits boost significantly harder. I wish I could have done a before/after dyno but I dont have that kind of money.
Again, for everyone, Im working on getting a video but its harder than you think! Stay tuned.
