good aftermarket manifold?

i want to install my EGT gauge i have but not in stock manifold for warranty reasons, and im just better off buying an aftermarket manifold for more power anyway. i already have a full TBE and want to change the mani. wats a good one on the market that isnt ridiculous in price but will give me good power up top.

ive seen megan racing go for 250$ and DC sports also makes one for $400, anyone have manifolds that can tell me abut them?

I have heard that the megans crack after a few thousand miles... haven't heard anything about the DC sports... I was looking at the DC sports myself...

as far as manifolds, the leading consenus is that either go with Full-Race ($800+) or do a Bushchur Port and Polish on the stock manifold. dyno graphs show that the megan racing does not add any power, and the DC one is either a hit or a miss. the megan cracks, and the DC one (as i said before) is a hit or a miss.

i would go with full-race. dyno-proven power plus awesome durabilty.

+1 more to full race. my maxford exhaust manifold sounds nice and gave me a tad more top end. a bit of torque is gone though.

buy teh full race one and save for an extra month or two, and do it right the first time so that you don't end up feeling like you wasted money on a crappy one, like me.

i hope you make the right choie.

Is there anyone that can chime in with a megan exhaust manifold on their evo that cracked. I have about 10000 miles on mine and still going strong.

any manifold will crack if you dont have the support bracket still on the block. many people remove it and cant put it back because of the aftermarket outlet doesnt use it.
