Does a GT3076R Exist? - And is it better than a 3071
I've got a chance to add a larger turbo to my IX and was steered in the direction of a GT3076.
First off, I have no idea what the 3076 is - compared to the well known 3071. What's the diff here - and how will it affect my spool up? (I've checked the search)
My goal - 400wtq on 93oct, with the mods in my sig plus a larger turbo. I roadrace, so I need something with a decent spool up.
Ideas sincerly appreciated.

My mistake - I typed in 0376R in the search.
From what I've read so far, the 3071 is better on 93 than the 3076. And a better DD turbo.
I wont have alk or meth or C16/100oct.
But the 3076 kit is cheaper for me than the 3071. Tough decision.

Honestly it is all about your driving habits. I have a RnR gt35R kit and as long as you stay in the 4500rpm range you will spool and go nicely. I see you aiutocross so the 3071 may be the better turbo for you.

You might wanna wait till Buschur releases the upgraded version of the 20G-9-5. With a bolt-on you'll be able to keep the stock look, if that matters to you. DB says it'll hit 20# by 3500 RPM.
Why don't you want to run higher octane gas for track events? I would do it just to help avoid the risk of destructive detonation at sustained high combustion temps on the straightaways.
Most of the turbos you mention like the 3071 and 3076 really only come into their own at the higher boost levels. Why would you wanna risk your engine by running 26-28# on pump gas?
You could probably get almost as much power with your stock IX turbo at 27# on race gas with a high-timing race tune than you would on a GT series at 23# on pump gas with a low-timing street tune.....
Just me, but if I was gonna go to the trouble and expense of a full turbo kit I would look into a 3065 or a 35R. Otherwise, I'll stay with a stock upgrade turbo.

The 3076 will make more power, but the 3071 will spool sooner.
BUT if you're considering a 3071 because you want quick spool-up, you should probably get a ball-bearing 50-trim. It spools faster than a 3071 and holds power better up top.

I run a 3to1 mix of 93oct and C16 at the track - and keep the boost below 23. My flash is on the aggressive side - and I turned in 381wtq with the stock turbo, 100oct - at 26psi.
But for DD - i keep the boost at 21 - which cuts my power down to approx +-330wtq. I'd just like to be about to drive around town with 93 in the tank and close to 400wtq on tap - and keep everything in check while doing it. No C16 mix and no alky.
Maybe a 50trim is a better option. The ATP 3076R kit I've been talking about is $1800. Stock manifold. Just the turbo, E/WG, exh piping, etc. Basically bolt on stuff. I thought it would be a somewhat cheap upgrade.
