I saw that on Apexi sound kinda cool, but doesent make me any faster and our cars already have launch control so sort of a waste of money

No this isnt quite like the factory. This one can build considerably more boost on launch plus it has the NLTS feature. This is like an MSD DIS2 without the ignition box side of it, a truer 2 step in otherwords.

it gives you No Lift Shifting capablility that unless your amazing will yeild you a tenth (maybe more?) in the 1/4.

and i dont know of an evo with launch control stock (maybe you mean the stationary rev limit)

Well, it seems cheap enough. Someone should pick one up, and let me know how well it works.

no they come stock with a stationary rev limiter set to 5k....which acts sort of like what this box claims to do.

I am not debating the difference bettween the two, i was just curious if anyone had used this product

There was a articale in Dsport a few months back and they used that and their shift light on their R32 Skyline and they loved them.

I've actually used it. What it does is you can hook it up to your factory tacho and preset your 1st step on where you wanna launch it and select your 2nd rev limiter thereafter your launch. Works on a magnetic reed switch which you attach to your pedals. What it does as you turn it on, is that it gives a multiple spark miss on alternate cylinders when you depress the clutch and floor the accelerator. Works like a gem. Comes with a 2 step shift light, one color when you're approaching shift rpm and one when you hit the shift rpm.

How much boost can it build in comparison to the stock LC?

Do you know if it will work (NLTS & LC) w/o the shift light?

It is a bad idea to not kill injector and spark events at the same time. At those RPMs you will be dumping raw fuel into cylinders that are not going to fire. Of curse you don't want to fire under fueled cylinders either.

If there is more then one control output then the injectors needed to be wired up at the resistor if possible. The old T-sports flat shift cut both.

this is actually a cheap version of Anti-Lag, not launch control. anti-lag allows u to build alot higher boost then launch control + u can launch at a lower RPM which saves your xfer case/trans. a good anti-lag system should retard timing about an avg 50degrees...

I have something like this sitting at home. I have a t-sport launch controller/NLS. I never got a chance to install it seeing as how i crashed my car a week ago, so if anyone's interested im trying to get rid of it.
