Front Bumper Plates and pics

Front Bumper Plates and pics
Here are some pics of new plates that I made for the front bumper. I switched to a water -> air intercooler so I didnt need the hole for the FMIC so I figured I would plate them all up. Originally I left the oil cooler hole open and fully blocked off the rest. I think keeping the radiator cool on hot days will need some airflow so I made new plates (No pics yet) with a few horizontal slits in them for the two top holes in the bumper. These plates are just mock up plates but the final ones will be perfect fits and will just simply bolt up.
I figured some people may want at least a few of the plates (Most wont want to block the intercooler hole) but I did notice that a few people out there like Al (Dynoflash) use tape to cover thier side holes when racing... these plates look alot better than blue tape
The plates I made are from .032" Aluminum Sheet which is incredibly light (About the same weight as the mesh). I could polish them or paint them any color as well.
Id be happy to make some plates for someone if they want... not sure what the price would be but it wouldnt be much.

The point of the mod is to block off the airflow helping with aerodynamics.
If you read the post you most likely would have seen this:
"I think keeping the radiator cool on hot days will need some airflow so I made new plates (No pics yet) with a few horizontal slits in them for the two top holes in the bumper."
The two grill pieces (To the left / right of the Mitsu Emblem) now have slits in them to allow air to flow into the radiator to keep it cool.

i think u will be starving your radiator, even with a few horizontal slits. maybe these will be good for strictly drag racing, but thats it. i would not recomend these on a daily driver.

TurboTrix runs one, and I believe there is somebody else running them..... This thread is still confusing to me as to why somebody like Trina would look for speed from a mod like this.. I suppose I just don't understand Trina's logic, I mean you could also switch to 195 width tires to save rotating weight........
