Nice! I'll be running a 30R based turbine on my 2.4L build so good to see some 550+ setups.

Someone help me. I just install my gt3076r on my evo 8. I just got it dyno with pump gas @ 26psi made 334 HP/314 torque. Y so low??????? I got Wisco piston 8:3.1, Manley rod,Brian crower valve spring and retainer,Brian crower 280 cam,880 cc precision injector,Walbro 225 pump, fuel rail and adjustable fuel regulator, act stage 3 clutch, cam gear(set at zero), aem wideband n boost control. My turbo is a gt3076r internal wastegate with 22lbs spring. With all that mods, my turner guy at Titan motorsport say that is max out. Anyone out there that can tuned my car. I know it can do a lot better than that on 93 pump gas. Email me @ nguyentony000@gmail.com. Thank you.

hey mate i know that the internally gated Garrett GT3076 is more limited than the externally gated one. As we have tried both. Also there are two versions that Garrett do. One with the .70 A/R (which is rated less power) but is the cheaper one and the .60 A/R with the anti surge compressor housing which is more expensive but better.

So depending on which model GT3076 you have it could possibly be your limiting factor.

this is the cheaper one

this is the more expensive but better one

Then theres also the HTA, Precision and other modified ones.

REBOOSTED: Sure is a blast when your on full boost at 3600

I have the 60a/r but still making low number...334hp/314torque.. My turner guy say that the brian crower 280 cam isn't that good unless I go with a bigger turbo like t3/t4 or gt35, but I told him I just got it for a week and it suppose to make 500 HP max. So I should make at least 400 HP on pump gas with all the mods I have now. So I don't understand y it's not making the minimum amount!!!!????

3076's are definately a over looked turbo, the spool, external wastegates, and great power potential its surprising more ppl are not into them.
Buscher was saying its the ultimate street turbo set up (his made 600/600) , esp on a bigger motor its hard to beat. With the right mods its easy to get high 500 with them.

First 8.3:1 is low for the kind of boost you're running. Most peoples run 9.0-9.5
Second you have to elaborate a little more on the combo that you have, i.e who's turbo kit ?, downpipe ?, exhaust ? etc...
Also small engine + midsize turbo + monstrous cam does not make for a fun car. Even if it yield high #'s on paper, it will be the last 1000rpm of your power band. Build a car to drive or build one to spin the dyno ?
My current combo,
BR 2.3 motor, AMS first gen turbo kit with 3076 HTA, .82 A/R housing, 272/272 HKS, (IC is smallish by today's standard) at 34lbs with intake mani swap to MAP stage 3 and BR tb. Fuel upgraded to ID 1000 and Walbro 400
559whp/505wtq on a dynojet. This dyno reads the same as that of AMS.
Tq is dialed down a bit because of my clutch, ACT 6 pucks rated at 650 crank tq.
At 30lbs it was 51x whp/47x wtq compared to the 50trim which made 471/455 at about 28-29 lbs
on the dynograph it was 50-100rpm slower to spool than the 50trim.

My tuner says the same thing. Perfect street/track/drag combo.
