Magnus Vs Carillo

Wich of the 2 manufacturers makes a stronger 4340 chromoly rod?


Are magnus' prices in us or canadian dollars?

Oliver rods are nice but weigh considerably more than Both Magnus & carillo

dont get the magnus rods. they suck. they bend like prtzels at 600+ whp. CFT bent three sets of them. was just there yesterday.

Carillo hands down the best steel rods you can buy (as told to me from major engine builders). Mahle pistons are the best as well FWIW

^ I agree. If you go with whats recommended above, you'll have 1 of the lightest rod ("A" beam carillo rod) / piston combo's out there.

i was going to use the H-beam carillo rod. Any Opinion?

Can you PM the cost of a 2.4 with Carrillo rods and Mahle pistons, Nitrided crank + goodies

Are you talking about the Pauter rods that Magnus sells or do they offer another rod of their own design now?

Pauter rods are pretty much the strongest rod I have ever used and I've used a lot. They are the only rod I have seen survive an engine suffer hydrolock so severe that it pushed the wrist pins through a set of Ross pistons.

he sells billet rods that come from australia. cant remember the name, but a three letter word like PAL. stay away from them. good to know pauters are that strong.
