ATP GT3076R - Impressions
Over the next couple of weeks (if this kit doesnt sell), I'm going to install it on my IX and compare it to my current graphs.
I've got a baseline with my supporting mods - on 93 and on C16. I have changed nothing since my baseline (except maybe the ambient temps, obviously). I've heard this turbo will not produce more wtq than the IX turbo. Which I am sitting at 381wtq on a 1to3 C16 mix and 26psi, stock turbo.
So maybe we can finally get some hard number on how this kit performs.
HOWEVER!@
I located something on the ATP housing that could be a problem. I port matched the gasket to the turbine foot and, needless to say, there is a huge issue.
Sections of the foot dont match the gasket - I'd say maybe 10% or so. I'm going to grind these out today.
Any thoughts? Could this be part of the problem?

I strongly suggest you buy a new OEM gasket and throw that paper POS in the trash.
It will fail on you within 3 months, I promise.

I plan on throwing away the crappy Megan gasket - without a doubt. I used it as a template for the port matching.
The housing now matches the header. Some backpressure should be reduced now. Has to be, actually. There was a lot of foot material there.

I used el'cheapo metal bits from Lowes with a Roto-zip. Took me approx 30mins. I rotoated b/w 3 bits to keep them from overheating. One of the three was angled (cone shaped).
I'm going to send the pictures to ATP.

You can have a twin scroll 3076..... so to say it is NOT a twin scroll turbo is incorrect, however this is a regular t3 housing
