Evo Ix Intercooler Piping!

I know that there have been many threads about this and i spent all night reading and could not find an answer. I have a IX MR and would like to upgrade the ic piping. i also have a HKS RS intake , and would like to stay with the factory battery. Which kit will fit on my car without having to modify a lot. Please no guesses anly ix owners. Thank you for your time.

I believe injen has an uicp that works with the stock battery...I think they sell it as a set though with the intake and everything...As far as licp you have a few options....AMS, Buschur, horsepower freaks, nisei and theres probably a few others....

injen, logic performance, or helix all work with the stock battery

nisei, buscur, ams, etc all require mini batteries

it wont work, thats why it comes with their own intake

on a side note, why did you replace your stock diverter valve? unless you plan on running meth/higher boost there is absolutely no reason to change it

Where can you find those? I thought they were discontinued or something, can't find them on eBay or anything...

I have the Injen - and love it. Great kit - great fit - no mods to the battery.

As far as the LICP, make sure its IX specific!

*First of all, there isn't much difference between the i/c piping of the VIII and the IX. You just need to make sure the pipe coming off the turbo fits the same.
*Second, you will not see any gains in performance by going with any UICP that does not call for a mini battery. So unless you just want a different look, stay with the stock upper pipes.
*Finally, you will see some significant performance increases with the LICP. I have the AMS lower pipe. I've seen the Buschur in action, as well as the Neisi and they all do about the same thing.

If you just want a complete set of hard pipes, the Helix pipes will fit just like stock. They include all the same bends as the stock pipes and are the same size, ie - they really don't provide any performance increase. They just look nice. Just be sure they correctly fit the turbo.
