My first dyno and tune
Well got my first dyno and tuning done last week. I took my car to Tuning Technologies in Colton, Ca.
Mods-
Works Drop In Air Filter
RNR Turboback Exhaust w/ Test Pipe
Joe P. Manual Boost Controller @23PSI
(91 Octane Pump Gas)
Before tune my IX put down 284WHP and 255WTQ and after tune I made 306WHP and 292WTQ. Well the numbers were a little lower than I expected, but then again Tuning Technologies dynojet reads a little lower than others and I suspect more power could be had, but Alfred wanted to play it safe (we only did three pulls), and do more tuning after I get an aftermarket fuel pump installed. Overall I am pleased with the results, the car feels great and Tuning Technologies are some great guys, Alfred seems to really care about his customers satisfaction. Anybody in SoCal looking for a great tuner, I definitly recommend Tuning Technologies.
Next Mods for me are-
Fuel Pump
Intercooler and Pipes
02 Housing
GSC Cams *Maybe*
Further Tuning

Can you post the dyno sheet? What method did you use to tune? Ecuflash? What AFR was your car set to? 11:1
Why did you only do three pulls? You need way more than that to tune an Evo. My car did 31 pulls on the dyno. You need to budget for an hour on the dyno. My car spent around two hours. No wonder your numbers were low.
Don't get the cams. They seem to be hit and miss. I suspect the MIVEC on the intake cam has something to do with it.

The Dyno is Accurate,
I dynoed 325hp 323tq at TT with MBC, IC pipes, Buschur TB W/ HF cat, Fuel Pump, and Hks intake. this was on 22psi and 91 (stock cams and Injectors)
On 110 i dynoed 395/387 (30psi)
At LAPD in Chastworth my car dynoed 322/330t same Dynojet 224x

I've heard alot of good things from Socal memebers about Alfred and i've seen a few of his tunes on friends cars and i highly doubt that he tuned you to 12.1.
Post up your graph if you can.

Guys,
The Dynojet AFR meter reads lean. When I had my car dynoed @ TT, the Dynojet tailpipe meter read 11.5-11.6:1, but my downpipe AFR meter read richer @ 11.1-11.2:1. Alfred knows that the AFR dynojet meter reads leaner, so even if he set the AFR to 12:1 (and I seriously doubt that he did unless the customer asked him to) that number is really around 11.6-11.7:1.
