50trim vs. GT30r vs. atp-gt3071r/gt3076r

there's a bunch of things on this turbo in the search but none clear enough to answere my question. Other related 20g post come up while searching for this. i didn't see the post last posted 2 days ago about the one hitting 485, either way what I'm getting at is wouldn't this be an alternative/cheap way of getting close /near par power as a 50trim being that this is a bold-on is this a better way to go. Don't bash I know the 50-trims are great and the ultimate pump gas turbo but this being cheaper and only 20whp down from a 50 trim on alky why not? I had a 50trim on my dsm and yes that thing hauled . . . but why isn't there a bolt-on 50trim for the evo . . . I would love me a 50trim at $999.00 like the DSMs. Whoever can formulate a bolt on BB 50trim at a reasonable cost would make bank . . . anyone . .. . anyone? thanks

also

aside from money, does anyone know how this, along with a 50trim, compares to a GT30r . . . specificly the BR gt30r kit, for 3Gs would this yeild the same power as a 50 trim and how is the spool?

Over all I just wanted to know max hp on pump and meth for these turbos as well as what rpm both start spool and they reach max boost.

ps. sorry for repost, these were questions I posted in other threads that where never answere so I thought I'd start my own.

my chart i would love to have filled out, these are approx average numbers.

_______________50trim vs. br GT30r vs. atp-gt3071r/gt3076r
___________------------------|----------------------|-------------------------
max whp (pump)-----425----------------???-------------------415-----------
max whp (alky)-------525----------------???-------------------485-----------
spool--------------------????---------------????-------------------????---------
max boost--------------????---------------????------------------ 4700---------

It's kind of difficult to just give you plain numbers. There are too many variables as to why the numbers wont be the same for everyone such as how good the tune, supporting mods, what kind of alky, and how much boost. Best thing to do is look around at other peoples set up with these kits and see what kind of numbers they made. But some people may chime in and give you some numbers.

ATP 3076 and 3071 will make the least hp and least tq out of any of those on pump gas, race gas, or any shade in between. 50 Trims have been known to repeatedly put down at or above 400whp on a dynojet on pump gas (93 and 22-23 psi boost levels) with tq in the 330s or so, full spool on a 2.0 is about 44-800 rpms from what most report. A 3076 will do about the same in terms of tq and usually not the same peak hp on pump gas as a 50 trim, but will spool a couple hundred rpms sooner 2-400 on a 2.0. They will make in the neighbor hood of 480-500 on race gas and the 3076's tend ot make a good bit more tq on race gas vs a 50 trim, I would guesstimate in the order of 10-30ft lbs.

Ok I am going to help you out since I am starting to pice together my own kit. People lightly on the comments if you do not agree with what I am building and be free to give me advice if you have a better suggestion.

T3/T4 flanged garrett BB .50 trim turbo= $800
T3/T4 flanged DNP equal length manifold with external wastegate= $590
Tial 40mm. external wastegate= $350
Custom downpipe and external dump (prefer rerouting dump in downpipe)= $400
Oil and coolant line= $100(guessing)
Fuel rail= $150
680 injectors= $450

That is the basics. I haven't put it together yet but I think you are going to need a smaller fan and definitely a front mount. This kit has made around 450whp on pump gas. Enjoy.

This is what it looks like. Pretty much the same kit turbo trix has. Just if you do it yourself it comes out to half the price.

I hope you have all the supporting mods already. (TBE, fuel pump, headstuds, BC, gauges, etc.) Along with the kit your piecing together you may need to think about new LICP, Slim fan if you run out of room, Intake, some sort of engine management, and possibly a new FMIC.

Yes I have all the mods. I have the RMR kit which will easilly fit to the new turbo with a little piece of extra pipe to gain the missing distance if needed. I am just getting the custom flash from TTP engineering. And yes I forgot to mention the intake. You can make that from your own piping though but you will need to run a blow off valve only that way, unless you can make the flange to divert.

a direct comparison write up is not in any thread. I did search, where do you think I got half of my rough numbers. I'm just looking for a couple more numbers I coudn't find- mostly the gt30r and how it compares to the other 2 turbos. yeah the atp is a good bang for the buck but so is the 50 trim as you pay a bit more you get a bit more power . . .

I know number's will vary due to other mods; cams, 2.3 or 2.0, mivec or not. but I am looking for just average numbers . . . . mainly on a 2.0, without mivec and with helix v2 272s if you really want to get specific.
EX:: you may not have the exact numbers but what have people reported on maybe 2.0 with hks cams and a gt30r ?

Where can one buy these parts from at these prices? Was going to buy the ATP Gt3071R kit but would consider building this kit also my goal is 425WHP 27psi EVO 8 2L on stock Cams- Turbo Bolt-on's only)

thanks
