Possible to transfer 5spd into 6spd MR?

First of all I did try a search, didnt come up with much though..

But anyways we all know the 6spd is a weak transmission, and sucks for drag racing and isnt any better on the road course than a 5spd.

What I want to do is take the 6spd out of my car when I do a clutch and change it out with a 5spd built by TRE or Shep. Is this possible? What all will I need to do the swap? Has anyone done this before?

Any info would be great..

Yes it is possible, some people on this board are doing the swap cause of a broken
4th gear in the 6-speed. Contact TRE I believe they make a kit with all the parts to
do the swap. Best of luck.

All you need other than the tranny itself is the shift linkage and center console. Your center diff will bolt right up to the 5 speed and the axles plug right in. Simple as that. If you wanna sell your 6 speed lemme know.
