Quickest/Cheapest way to get an Evo 8 to 300-350hp?
Quickest/Cheapest way to get an Evo 8 to 300-350hp? Simply im using it as a quarter mile and daily driver. Obviously a TBE and reflash is comming shorty. Im just curious as what to do other then this. I have a problem of not being close to a shop I would trust with working on my EVO so I'm going to have to look into a mail in flash. Any Suggestions on any of these items? Thank you

those mods wont do it on an evo 8 it also depends on the dyno the cams and the gas used. You can reach 350 on an evo 8
with
intake
tbe no cat
cams 272/280(better)
jdm bov
mbc
and some race gas

Cheapest way is to drop the exhaust or get a cutout, get some nitrous, get a manual boost controller, and get tuned for racegas. Oh and weight reduction.
The cheapest way to have a fast daily driver in good condition is:
TBE
Tune
MBC
IX DV
Cams
Walbro 255 FP
Throw race gas in at the track, and turn the boost up.
Don't listen to what everyone on here says; you DON'T need intake, and you DON'T want to waste money on alky injection if you are trying to spend the least amount of money as possible.
But if you have a few more bucks to spend, invest in the alky injection, and a LICP; then get a good custom tune. That would be over 350 whp.

1) Saying "HP" means crank horsepower, and you could argue that the 05/06 Evos already have 300 crank HP. It takes almost no mods to get 350HP, but then again there's no way to verify it's 350HP without an engine dyno, so the question has no merit.
2) 300-350 is a huge gap. It is a lot harder to get 350 than it is to get 300, so which one is it? You can't give a 50HP (or WHP) gap...
3) Any of this really depends on what year you have and the octane you use.
4) Seriously, how hard is it to search first?
