Where to order OEM front LSD (Evo VII type)?

I've seen a few posts related to the front LSD that some non-AYC Evo VII's get, with regard to fitment in our Evo VIII. A couple questions for anyone who knows:

1) Is it confirmed that they are a direct replacement for the stock Evo VIII front diff? Any experiences there? Any extra installation hardware needed?

2) Where can they be ordered from (and for how much)? I have only seen Cusco and Ralliart front LSD's available online (japanparts.com) and they list at almost US$2500 in some instances.

Thanks.

Yes, we can get it, though at $1999, its expensive.

Cusco does not offer a front alone, only a front and center "kit",..that is even more money.

Quaife has nothing for the Evo VIII's, though I have an email into them to find any sort of ETA, as they do make excellent units (just did one in a 2.5 RS w/ STi drivetrain today)

Beware! Evo VII front LSD will not work on Evo VIII. A friend bought one (had it shipped from England), took Evo VIII completely apart and found it would not fit properly. It has been shipped back to the supplier. Supplier had said it would work!

Thanks - if this is true, this should be sticky or at least go into a FAQ as there is definitely a misconception out there about fitment.

What about Kaaz?

Front LSD is the only way to go. I love the sure trac LSD in the WRX. It just pulls you through the turns!

How hard is it to add a LSD and ACD to the EVO?

The LSD should be no problem (well no major problem anyway), but the ACD, I'm just gonna have to say good luck: a massive install of sensors and a different ECU and probably a bunch of other things I know nothing about.

Why not import one of the trannies from the evo VIII's on this page?

6-speed, 5-speed, both with limited slip front diffs

What can anyone confirm this, I thought that an LSD from EVO VII RS, Non ACD Equiped should drop right in on an EVO VIII.

Thanks
