Quick- PWR/Koyo Radiator with AMS 3076 kit?!

Hi all,

This weekend i was doing some work on my car when i accidentally punctured the radiator. I figured this would be a good time to get an aftermarket one (i road race a lot) since i have to replace it and the factory ones are ~$700...

I have an AMS 3076 kit sitting here that is yet to be installed though and i began to think about clearance issues. Will the koyo or PWR radiator have enough clearance with that turbo kit?

It's for a 2006 Evo MR, btw.

I have to get this fixed as i'm going to the track in 2 weekends and need to get the car back up and running

Thanks.

The Buschur half-size is always a safe bet.

Actually, that wouldn't work as i do a lot or road racing and cutting the radiator size down wouldn't help with that at all...

I have RRE GT3076 with Koyo radiator and I still have a lot of clearance. Unless your header is within 1 inch of the radiator, i think it should be fine. If you want to, I can take pictures.

I forgot to say that I have a slim fan on the inside, though. Maybe that's a solution that you need.

Actually, yeah, some pictures would really help me out. I need to get this fixed asap..

I do have a slim-line fan that comes with the ams kit (which i haven't installed), but i just want to make sure the actual turbo or wastegate outlet won't hit it somewhere whenever I install it..

Thanks

Actually, this could be your solution:

A picture of an AMS car with a GT42 turbo in it. Look at the right bottom corner:

That's a drag car though and i'm building a road race car. My car will require much more radiator than that..

i'm fairly sure that the normal ams kit has pleanity of room for aftermarket larger radiators

i know for a fact that buschur kits dont have room for thicker radiators and can only be race with a stock radiator because the tial 44mm is in the way.

i think only buschur kits have this problem. and of course kits with gt42r turbos

I ended up going with the Koyo as AMS confirmed that it will work without interference. I still haven't gotten around to installing the turbo kit yet though.
