The cam position sensor of my EVO VI broke while I was working on the car

Can anyone tell if the EVO VII or VIII sensors are the same (since I can order them easier from the US online)

I have no experiance with the EVO VI setup, what type of sensor does it have? The EVO VIII sensor the part that tend to break is a plastic cylinder bolted into the front drivers side of the head into the rest of the sensor and has the wire attachment to the sensor that is easy to break off. If that sounds like the part you broke, take a chance and purchase the EVO VIII part, it is around $60.... if that does NOT sound like the part you broke, buy one specificly for the EVO VI.

YEAP I have searched the forum and the pictures of your EVO VIII sensor looks pretty much identical....but I was afraid of the plug or maybe the values inside being different....

Fortunately, on the other evo forum someone posted the part number and it is the same for all
