Do I have the least powerful IX w/ mods and tune???

Not dissing anybody and especially my tuners, they are great guys and I know they did their best, but I'm just wondering if I have the honor of being the least powerful IX in the country w/ mods and tune.

My mods-
TBE w/ Test Pipe
Filter
MBC@23PSI-23.5PSI
Tune
306WHP/292WTQ
Dyno Jet/91 Octane

I'm not *****ing or complaining, I find it a little amusing, because I know I have really bad luck. If you compare a Mustang dyno, I know most Mustangs usually dyno lower than Dyno Jets, so take that into account. I'm just wondering if there is a IX out there making less power than mine w/ mods and tune?

Getting a fuel pump and re-tune, hopefully put down better numbers (fingers crossed). Also love my EVO, no matter how much power she makes.

Not really dude.

It could be that the tuner did not want to push the car. Maybe really conservative as far as the tune. I'm sure there's at least another 20whp and at least 15-20tq left in it with the right hands.

dude, i'm sure there are other 9s running 91 octane in cali out there making similar power as you. I wouldn't beat yourself up over it.

Wow, that is almost mechanical problem low. Check for boost leaks and maybe you are being limited by fuel; who knows. You are at least 30 whp low. Did you data log? Maybe you are pulling a bunch of timing up top from knock, it is possible with your boost that high.

Anyway think of it like this; you are still making as much power as an VIII with the same mods, so you can't complain to much.

And i'm not sure that boost is safe for 91 octane, have you datalogged for knock counts? I usually say 21 psi for 91 octane; and since you have a IX w/ revised cooling passages; i would say maybe 22 if you felt like living on the wild side... I dunno though, its your car so don't let me tell you what to do.

I see your in Cali who tune your car RRE or Tuning Tech? I got the same mods as you but with a walbro 255 fuel pump which was tune by Dr gray that laid down 315whp

Its low. I imagine you have a boost leak somewhere or that there is a something not right. That is unless you did the dyno in hot humid weather and have uncorrected numbers.

I HIGHLY doubt that at 306whp you need a fuel pump with a IX, My brother made 343 on his IX with a stock fuel pump, on pump

Around 20 whp low, maybe if he was running on 93-94 octane. The tuner probably opted for higher boost in exchange for less agressive timing. I say you're about right for 91 octane, but check for leaks regardless just for piece of mind.

EDIT: you probably should've posted this on socalevo or norcalevo because you will be getting a lot of people running higher octane telling you your numbers are low.

I also put down 305/300 on 93 octane in hot temps. AMS tuned.

You're find dude. People hype up their numbers all the time, or mess with the dyno to raise them. There's a certain company on the east coast that seems to get huge numbers all the time...

That is a bit low, but wait out and see if the fuel pump and retune helps you out. On 93 octane, my car made 300whp/310wtq with a MBC and Dynoflash in a Dynojet in 90 degree weather. I added more mods to it now, but haven't gone back to see where its at.

what was your baseline on the same dyno?

I think you should look at the % improvement from stock or hp gained through tuning instead of comparing you dyno numbers with others here. good tune with basic boltons should give 30% improvement over stock figures.

I have the same mods as you with basically my own tuning now (plus dynoflash' Mivec map) Not even sure if thats helping or hurting me..

Same boost also if my boost gauge is accurate.

What kind of 1/4 times did you do with that setup? I have yet to dyno/track the car.. no AWD dyno and my track date is in 2 weeks

Can I see your Datalogs? Thx

Fuel pump shouldnt be needed at all with those mods. The boost is high too... im thinking the tune is off.
