Pictures of my fixed head (ported) huge pictures. linked

On Oct 1st I was coming home from waxing my car for the first time in about 7 or 8 months. I started hearing a rapid clicking sound. My girlfriend went to change songs and I heard the sound in between and we turned the music off to listen to it and see where it was coming from. I was about an exit away from home and the sound got worse so I pulled over to hop out and take a look. Pulled over on the shoulder to slow down and the car just died on me before I could even stop. Got out and noticed my adjustable cam gears screws had come out on the exhaust cam, threw my camshaft abotu 110 degrees off and fked my timing bad.

Towed the car and my friends came to pull the head off. Turns out all the valves in my head were bent, some guides were messed up and it needed to be resurfaced.

I've never been too good at fixing something thats broken... I'd rather upgrade so a friend of mine did all the work and I also asked if he did port work. Here are the pictures. I hope you guys like. Only thing different is titanium valves and port work.

what did he use to port it with, a chainsaw? It really needs to be polished out and then pressure tested. Doing your own port job on a head is some pretty heavy stuff especially if you dont have the right equipment. It needs to be glassbeaded. But I sure hope you did not come too close to any of the oil or coolant channels because under high pressure it will blow right out rendering your head useless and possibly causing major engine failure and damage. Its tricky stuff doing your own port job, but just pray you didnt come too close to any channels. Click click click hisss hisss smoke smoke smoke BOOM!!!

Man Keel that ported head does not look to good. I have seen lots of ported heads and also have a dsm ported head by buschur and it looks nothing like that. I mean your suppose to leave the intake side rough so it can atomize but that looks like he didnt have the right bits for the job. Did he do it for free? Inline Racing in Houston also ports dsm and evo heads and does a real good job. By the way I am the one who Im'd you on houston imports.

Yea lol, sucks about the cam gear what kind were they? Also the good thing about the head is that it looks like he didnt take a lot out so it is possible it can be cleaned up some.
