What would make you think it would be any different as both O2 housings are the same?

I read somethign in the advanced forum about boost creep issues, or possible boost creep issues on the IX. Perhaps to the mivec or the 10.5 hotside. Just figured I would ask before I purchased one.

I am not sure on gains (boshur tested 10whp) but for $100, for value it should be one of the best power mods.

The only advice I can give you is to think if you will EVER put a header in your car. If you plan on putting a SS header now or later, you might want to get one that has the stock support brackets or have some welded on the e-bay o2 housing so that the header does not have to support the whole exhaust system.

yes, it might also be OK with an aftermarket one, but the stock one is strong as hell. I had no issues with cracking and/or boost creep either.

I have 12 in stock complete with 1 year replacement warranty.

You cannot get an ebay housing for $40. Sorry to say. No warranty expressed or implied on ebay crap either.

I have a 8 but installed the 9 turbo. I got the ebay 02 housing.I wouldn't exactly call it crap, for $75 shipped you can't beat it. For maximum gains and eliminate the risk of having boost creep, we ported the manifold and the hotside.

Hey TTP, yours was originally the one I was looking into. I figured for the price it would be hard to beat. Im sure the ebay ones are fine, but I like the peace of mind with purchasing from a vendor with a warantee. Have you witnesses any issues with boost creep on VIII's or IX's? The IX in particular is what interests though. Thanks

Usually the eBay ones are from Megan. You can get warranty from them. The o2 housing a PITA to install, I would make sure you do a few other things (ported manifold/hotside) at the same time so you dont have to do the job twice. As for boost creep, I have 0 on my IX. Boost holds solid on my boost gauge and on my electronic boost controller.
