SS is a real pain to weld. Whoever did this man or machine they look perfect. I myself am still trying to perfect the art of SS welding, the welder I use is a POS so they never turn out remotely as good looking as these from FullRace.

Full-Race products are Robotically TIG welded.

They use a robotic tig and as far as I know all the good welders say that Stainless Steel is the easiest, the common hard material is aluminum. But good hand welders can do a job just as nice as the robotic tig. Look at Shearers, AMS, Peakboost, TT, no robot and just as good. Still great manifold in the thread though looks good.

SS is actually a hard metal to weld. If you run the weld too hot you end up diffusing the chromium from the stainless steel. Do it enough, and the SS actually turns black and is more alike mild steel than stainless.

I have practiced welding before, and I was at least able to get stainless down somewhat, but man when I tried aluminum it was a whole new world lol, you have be more careful since in aluminum the holes come in fast and it doesnt turn black if you clean the metal good.

thanks for the support guys. Sorry i didnt see this thread sooner as i have been away at SEMA

if you have any questions/comments/concerns about full-race products, please feel free to contact me. We are constantly working to improve our products and customer input is the best feedback.

FYI -- we have redesigned our "Evo Prostock" turbo manifold. While our online store has not yet been updated to reflect this, all the manifolds from this point on will be of the new design. Advatanges are more accurate pressure drop across cyl pairs, and new runner geometry for increased midrange.
