Hey geoff..you really need to show pics of the cut away mani's you had on display at SEMA this year. That way people can see how thick the material is and the weld penetration on the inside....from that i can see why you boast a life time warranty.

( I didnt bring my ruler to SEMA so im not going to make a guess at the wall thickness....but i was like wow. )

I have heard of it sometimes flaking off from SS manifolds due to the thermal expansion and contraction... Works like a champ on cast. For SS manifolds, i guess a lot depends on the design/materials of the manifold.

My understanding is that it works well on SS as long as the manifold has been blasted with an appropriate media. If the wrong media is used, the surface does not form a good bond with the coating and it can flake off...

Does this manifold allow you to keep your A/C? If not, do you guys offer a manifold thats allows that, with the maximum spool up possible?

Yes, every EVO manifold we make keeps AC. They are designed to spool the turbo as quickly as possible, and carry that power to redline, without falling off.

This is my first post!

I will be purchasing an EVO IX RS within the next month(currently have an '06 STI).
What is the difference between your ProStreet and ProStock manifolds?

If you guys think SwainTech is a waste of money...


it certainly helped me to run a 12.3 @ 111.2mph on my stock-turboed STI on 93 octane. That's no easy feat, especially with 48lbs of wheel and tire per corner, and a rinky-dink turbo.

I look forward to sharing with everyone my buildup and progress going into the next year.

Thanks for sharing that picture! Congrats on that time as well, that really is no easy feat. The ProStreet manifold is designed for "T3" family turbines and TiAL 44mm wastegates only. The ProStock turbo manifold is designed for use with the Stock Turbo, directly replacing the OEM cast turbo manifold.

I have seen how hot a turbo manifold get under heavy load. If you were to heat-wrap the manifold, would the heat build up too high and melt the manifold? I would never use theat swain coating simply because it looks horrible...but the kevlar heat wrap (header wrap) works great and looks better...(IMO of course)

its funny how so many people are like omg, you wasted your money. who cares what other people spend their money on? If you want to drop a bunch of money on nice parts for your car, its your money.
