No, he was referring to his stage 3 package (FMIC, TBE, IC piping, cams, flash, etc)

He is saying that most people whining about this turbo wont benefit from it and its a waste of time. Its NOT a waste for people who have maxxed out the stock turbo and thats really the NEXT modification to do.

If you still have stock cams, FMIC, etc, a turbo upgrade shoudl not be your next mod, thats what hes saying

If you aren't already running high 11's in the 1/4 mile or atleast below 12.20's, with trap speeds at 112+ mph then YOU ARE NOT NEEDING A TURBO YOU ARE NEEDING A CORRECT COMBINATION OF PARTS, A GOOD DRIVER OR SOMEONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO TUNE, and I am talking about doing this on 93-94 octane fuel.

+1

i love how people who have a sparco harness bar and a short throw shifter think they need a turbo that will make huge gains on pump gas, and wanna have it "race tuned" on 91 octane. not to sound like an ***, but if i lived in CA i wouldnt even buy an evo in the first place, i would buy a toyota prius or something of good use, i mean you are not allowed to do 90% of the supporting mods anyways to the car to make a bigger turbo even worth buying.

If you dont plan on doing cams/FMIC/fuelpump/and all other supporting mods you dont need the turbo, buy a set of rims.. because all your going to do after you install it is get on EVOm and complain about how you didnt get the numbers you expected!!!!

Sorry for the rant, just sick of picky people

I see alot of people not wanting to run race gas because its a daily driver well i plan on a 2.3l stroker down the line to make up for that. so i wanna see someone with a 2.3 stroker and all the supporting mods use this turbo some one like "SMOKEDMUSTANG" whos running a step up from stock turbo but with the oem ecu. I think this would be the ultimate street setup 2.3l 20g-5-9LT period! IF anyone knows anyone with a stroker already tell them to slap this turbo on and see what it does on pump gas. SMOKE?

Umm, there's a lot of corporate development dollars that go into that. This may be the silliest post in the whole thread. We're just looking for a bolt-on turbo. How do you propose to get a Porsche-type snail on an Evo?

i'm just missing alky from that list which i plan to get. this turbo upgrade is damned perfect for me other than needing new injectors and a better clutch to hold the power down :x

I would say this turbo is better than a GT3071 actually. I have dyno'd a few and they are not big power makers.

Just to be clear, Buschur disagrees with you and claims there is minimal difference between a built and not built motor.

Wait, a little confused... Is this a bolt on turbo?? I understand that it needs supporting mods but would it fit the stock manifold etc...? Thanks.

great, we can look forward to some non built motor 10 second passes on this then.

and to the poster above, it bolts to the stock manifold as stated earlier in the thread.

As long as you're running revolver or jun cams on a ported head...
