If you're talking about those pipes that go to the exhaust manifold then all evos snice the 4 have had this.

But don't worry too much about it, its not a flame spitting banging sort of anti-lag, its just a really passive system that dumps pressurised air into the exhaust manifold when a series of conditions are met.

Plently of people have taken those pipes off without noticing any sort of difference so don't go feeling you must have it.

You probably could, I seen one go for sale here.

But keep in mind its controlled by the ECU so check that the US ECU has the capability to control it, plus you need the solinoid to control the system as awell apart from just the piping and air valve.

Some names this thing goes by is "Air Control Valve", "Secondary Air System" or "Secondary Air Control System"

If you're really keen you could ask in the 'Want to buy' section here http://www.mmc.org.nz/forum/ (NZ) or over at the lancer register http://www.lancerregister.com/index.php?styleid=4 (UK)

Huh...... I was wondering what those two bosses in the exhaust manifold were for!

I believe those pipes are EGR feed pipes if you follow the valve that hooks back into the intake side.

Guys, the antilag that I know is the one that has been implemented on rally turbo cars for decades now. It is about having a 5th injector(additional injector) on the exhaust side of the turbo.

By injecting fuel in a timely shyncronized manner the turbo keeps the momemtum and maintains a fast rate of re-spool up.

The downside is the nasty sound of explosions coming from the exhaust and off course those 3-4 feet flames coming from the exhaust as well.

I am not trying to diviate from the original topic but since someone mentioned the anti-lag set up I thought that my remarks are appropiate to the subject.

Just my .2c

the system im looking for is the factory secondary air system
which in other parts of the world have them on factory cars
it is a mild form of an antilag system injecting air into the manifold
japan and the UK have them
US doesnt but from what i am finding out
the USDM ECU has the capability to run it...
it is mild nothing like the crazy WRC setups
or what autronic can do
and you can shut it off whenever you want to

now also known as turbo assist

Bingo, the newbie nailed it. These are not anti lag devices, they for emissions (it re-burns some of the exhaust gas, i.e. EGR). They are totally not needed. They introduce hot exhaust gases into your intake manifold, raising the intake temperature and it also gets the runners in the intake manifold + head all covered in black soot, which hurts flow and power.
