Doesn't seem worth it, especially with the hood damage.

Whats a "wizerd gutter" ?
And do you have any pics of the underside of your hood?

You had to do the same thing on the S2000 in order to run the Mugen intake on a stock hood. Too much hassle for an intake regardless if it works or not.

I just ordered one from e-bay. 210 shipped. Looks like the best way to get cold air intake with the stock box.

Definitely not something you see every day, I'll give you that.

I can see how this would be a nice mod once everything got cleaned up under the hood, and it does seem like an excellent way for getting cold air into the system.

That being said however, I don't think I could do that to my own car. If I'm going to hack away at the hood and front bumper, it would have to be for pretty major power gains. For me, the performance benefit here just doesn't seem worth the trade-off.

But hey, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, and am looking forward to seeing before and after dyno results.

Good luck with the install!

A dyno graph will not give this piece the justice that it desrves. Granted, differences maybe marginal, but the intake works at its best when at speed. Obviously, in some aspects, the same as ram air.
