That thing just bolts to the top on the Intake air box right? Anyone ever try the APS Cold air intake?

I thought I read somewhere here that cold air systems don't work well on turbo cars since the air temp after being compressed is about the same regardless of the difference in intake temperature.

The cooler the air into the compressor, the cooler it's going to be coming out. True story.

You know I thought the same thing, i thought it would need just a little notch, nope lots and lots of cutting, then i got to the point of no return. I was really second guessing doing this mod after moding my hood, then again after cutting my bumper, but then I realized... hay it a unique mod, no one really has, and if I ever do make it into a magazine im sure I will be the only USDM evo you will see with this mod.

in the end im like 70 - 30

70% of me is happy I did this mod...
but
30% of me wish I would I just stopped after it dident fit.

cleanest is to have razor sharp edges that are painted just like any cut on any metal on the car from the factory. rubber just makes it look fabricated.

Like I said earlier, I would'nt doubt if this intake made 10 or more hp at speed .

Your intake is starting to grow on me more and more every day. Kudos to you for having the ***** and the patience to pull it off.

The S2000 guys have to do the same thing, and at speed, my butt dyno said it was working real well.
