Yeah, ya gotta pay to play. Depends on what you want to do with the car and mainly your psi.

The 30r is pretty good on pump, and a nice setup with meth (as is the 50Trim which seems to be getting more popular).

The 35r you almost need to run race gas (or a strong meth/akly mix) to really appreciate it. You'll get a bigger number obviously, but it's a bigger turbo and thus will push your usable powerband to the right. More up top means less down low ya know.

I was hesitant to get the 35R because I was afraid it would be laggy because people always post about spoolup on here but once I had the turbo on I can honestly say I would never want anything less. The lag is not a big deal...unless you plan on doing autocross or something, then it may be an issue. I drag race and drive around town and the 35R is awesome. Another thing I found out that pushed me to get the 35R is that the 35R at 23psi is going to be flowing more air than a smaller turbo at the same psi. Also, on my dyno graph I make about 400hp at 4300rpm..im not at full boost (27psi) yet but im making more power at that rpm than I did with a smaller turbo even though with that smaller turbo I had hit full boost (24psi).

Look here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=228032
If you are going to drive around with 93 only in the tank the GT35 gives up alot.
If you are going to use Meth and run 28lbs then it makes more sense.

30R is the way to go if your going to use it for a daily driver imho, 490 480 on race gas is plenty fun for me, and having real world tq and full boost at 4k is very nice on the street.

+1
Like he said

Also, it all depends on what u plan to do with the car and if u dont mind the lag when driving around town (in a 35r, that is)

^Yup. If you get your jollies at 5kRPM plus flat out, or in 4th and 5th gears 35R will pull much harder, i like something I can feel everywhere from the highwayto the roadcourse to the drive through.....

I say screw both and go with a 50 trim which is a better pump gas turbo and is way cheaper.

I know this had been talked about a million times but I always missed it (and too lazy to search right now). So ur saying that 50 trim is better than 35r?

Define what you mean by better? People, before you decide to strap on a huge *** turbo to your tiny 2.0 Liter engine, please do some research on the turbo itself. A big turbo like the GT35R is going to come with some serious turbo lag, and doesn't produce great power numbers on straight pump gas, unlike the ball bearing 50 trim which has near stock like spool up and makes incredible numbers off of 93 octane. I am more into road racing/autox, and a fast spooling turbo is a must. The GT35R is turbo that is more capable in terms of higher flow/horsepower (with race gas/meth) but the resulting powerband leaves something to be desired. If you plan on drag racing the car and using methanol or race gas, the GT35R or GT40 may be what your looking for. If your looking for a more linear power curve, plan on road racing, or just like having fun with pure pump gas, go with the ball bearing 50trim or Forced Performance's new FP Evo Green.
