I've had the ACT in my car for over 40k miles without one issue! It is amazing and everyone that drives my car likes the solid feel. I recommend it highly. Never had to adjust it once, never any lockout. I think the problems that some have had relates to the install and not the product.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I read the bad reviews.. Install error

Can't wait to get mine installed, this damn stocker is almost dead

I had the stock flywheel resurfaced as well, no issues. I don't drag, but I do road race and drive agressively on the street. I could not be happier with my choice.

If the install is done properly, you are going to love it. I had a mechanic that had never even heard of an Evo before do mine, but he has a solid foundation of mechanical abilities. That was two years and 40k miles ago, still going strong!!

I've had the ACT 6-puck with Xtreme pressure plate for 1 month. The pedal effort is stock--as far as I can tell--and there is no lockout. All the talk about adjusting this and pedal effort that is BS from folks that do not have the clutch in their own cars and have no history on the other guys car and the 3000 possible reasons why their car drives like sh**.

The trick is getting used to the extreme grab. If you don't know how to drive and you abuse your car, it really doesn't matter what clutch it is. Premature failure of clutch or other drivetrain part will be inevitable.

I would personally not recommend an ACT 6-puck. We had Alamo Autosports install it and when it aas all over and done with the owner couldn't even pull it out of the parking lot. He's not buying an Exedy Twin HD. Don't be cheap, do it right the first time. Not sying ACT isn't good because it does hold power, but for a couple hundred more you can get an exedy.

a couple hundred that i dont have right now, r u going to give it to me?

btw i got the organic not the 6puck.

i spent 730 shipped with a lightweight steel forged flywheel. the exedy twin runs anywhere from $1350-1700.

i dont know about u but and xtra $600+ is quiet a bit of money to me. on top of that i have to get it installed, so there the xrta $600.

yeah the AMS organic is better than stock-- It grabs a lot harder and holds stronger than stock-- but it can slip like wild tho too so be surefooted
I heard you can shave your flywheel if you change your clutch and don't want to change your flywheel i guess it's a cheaper way out.
