exactly, i have seen this plenty of times with our honda customers when the turbo's were pushed to higher psi levels. They just don't last...

Define higher psi levels, in regards to an EVO, would 28 to 30psi be considered higher psi levels, or are you talking 30psi+?

Depends on the A/R of the turbine housing, and if you are 2.0L or stroked.

a couple years ago when the "50trim" fad was just getting started i went pretty fast on my 2g talon without really having to tun the boost up that high. that's what i loved about the "50".....good power on pump at moderate boost levels. admitting when i turned it up at the track the car really loved it, but i tell you, i made alot of fast street cars look bad on the street on pump! slap a .63 hot side on that sucker and let it roll.

where can you get a bb 50 trim kit for under 3k ? for the price buschur is listing the turbo kit for it seems exceptionally good.
journal 50trim =under 2k < anybody's bb 50trim kit =3k+
Am I mistaken?

in my opinion if your gonna spend money on the bb 50 you might as well step up to the 35r or any of the garret gt turbos.

for the price the standard 50trim is basically unbeatable.

3300 spool, full 28psi at 4200. BB is nice and you really feel it between shifts when you are right back in boost. It makes for a nice smooth transition; 50 trim is fun and an all around good turbo that doesn't sacrifice much over the stocker in terms of spool up and a lot more topend. They seem to be gaining more popularity by the day

I am in the process of putting together a BB 50 Trim kit that is under $2000.00 (I guess it helps if your friends are beast welders =)

Approximately two months, will come with the manifold (T3 flange) external wastegate, oil + coolant lines, and custom o2 housing that will bolt directly to your existing downpipe. I am going to do the testing and tuning on my car first, and then I might sell a few at cost to see how well they do on other cars.

The .48 REALLY kills power potential, make sure you get the .63 and you will be happy. Turbo Trixx got 420WHP with that very same turbo on a stock ECU, pump gas, over 2 yars ago on a NON-Equal length manifold of all things, the 50 Trim is THAT good.
