I used both and changed them pretty close together. First, going from stock to the I, noticed the difference. Did feel better. Than when I did my clutch, I changed it again and tried the II (which is still in it), and I don't like it. Or my tranny doesn't like it.

I'm going to go back to I or try something else.

What about it don't you like; did it get "notchier"?

I use BGII and find it extremly smooth when I first begin to drive but as it heats up it gets notchy. Overall I'm not impressed with it over stock. Will be trying something else next time.

Stick with I, II is massively overpriced overhyped crap. Synthetic oil = good for ultra hot, wont coke easily like dino oil, turbo engine, but a flat out waste in a tranny.

I just changed to BGI 800 miles ago (hope this wasnt the 1st change since i bought the car used i know the previous owner didnt change it and he was the 2nd owner) and ive noticed a difference. Deffiently smoother, but when i changed it the old stuff was very liquidy... Car had 37k on it when i changed it. Ive heard change it every 30k, but its cheap enough to do it every 15k. I bought the BGI and the DiaQueen fluid for the tcase and rear diff for 100 bucks from Lancer Shop.

^^ I did the same at 12k.

I definately needed the change. Tranny was "sticky" when coming out of fourth, didn't feel slick/smooth when engaging gears after it had warmed up (fluid felt "thin"). That went away with the fluid change. BGI seems to be fine. Definately thick when its cold out though.

Tcase - fluid was murky (little on the brown side), and there was some sludge on the drain plug when i pulled it. Notihing out of the ordinary, but it did need changed.

All things considered (like the advice from Shep and TRE), I'll be chaning them both every other oil change (5k for me), just to be on the safe side. Not that big a deal to do them while you're down there anyway.

I may try Synchromesh and then Redline, just to see what I/my tranny like best.

I am definitely chaning back to stock or BG 1, I have all the same symptoms as others that posted. The "sticky" gears, gets worse as the car gets warm....I just don't think it works well.
