cams before meth on ix?

cams before meth on ix?
some user...from the forums whos name i wont say. recommended cams before meth on my IX, right now all i have is tbe with test pipe an mbc and a walbro 255...im aiming for 400 to the wheels...but before i order a meth kit im wondering what else i need for the car to be pretty reliable in a sense still...i was just planning on doing an intake and the licp and then the meth...and tune of course...anyone else recommend anything before hand?

There is nothing else needed to run meth injection. Completing the IC piping and adding an FMIC will be needed to reach 400whp with the meth at high boost. Cams always come before meth, when possible.

i just finshed a customer car heres wat i did on his 06 GSR
STOCK MOTOR and TURBO and IC PIPES....NO CAMS
ARP STUDS
3" TBE (stock o2 housing)
AEM intake
Greddy RS BOV
SMC Alky Injection
Halman MBC 28 PSI
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
389 HP 393 TQ tuned by Sean Ivey from IVEY TUNE
he is the man, and this car is real fast for only a little over 1000$ in parts thats it, next for him is cams and it will be over 400 HP
you do not need much on the 9 to make it fast.

Is it really worth it to run Meth/Alky injection on a stock turbo? What kind of gains can one see on the stocker; any estimates?
I would think cams personally, although there's huge cam debates still after months on the Mivec IX (let's not get into it). A meth kit and tune would be cheaper than cams/install/tune but I'd feel better, personally, with a cammed 93 octane tune if the power output was the same as the pump + meth hp tune.

If i had a IX, i personally would get meth kit before cams due to the unstable aftermarket cams results for the IX.. Imo i think the stock cam setup on the IX is great from the factory and its well engineered

both are great upgrades but typically the cams are installed before meth/alky...but on a IX I dont think the cams are as necessary (like they are on an VIII) and you can go straight to meth. but if you did do the cams you could go ahead and swap the headstuds and not worry about running high boost levels
