So Greg,

What is the main difference between this new set and the the 280/272 combo that was being sold just a month ago? Is it only the intake cam that is different? Can it be purchased alone? The reason I'm asking is because I just had a set installed last week and I'd like to know if all I would have to change is the intake cam....

Thanks for any info....

Tony

a tuned ix made 284 with exhaust/intake

it made 312 with the original set from a month ago

now its at 337whp using the original tune for the 312

so with some more tuning that 337 my climb a litte more

so the gain is 50whp for an already tuned car???
284 was untuned with stock cams. 312 is cleaned Air fuel only and the 280/272 cams, and 337 is S1 cams cleaned air fuel and added some mivec timing between 3500-6500. there is more in them. why? because letting the car cool for 30 min netted us 344 but we elected not to show that graph. we also didnt touch timing in any of the tests.

the intake cam is different. the exhaust cam is slightly different than the 272. actually runs a touch less lift. yes you can change the intake cam to the new one. and find quite a bit of HP.

I know it would be very hard to say, but I now have an HKS 272 exhaust cam with another few bolt ons (filter, 3" tb, FMIC, LICP, UNOS, AMS tune). What kind of gains could you guess with the S1's?

ya just sold me... anything over 20hp and im there

then ya pulled out a mustang dyno, not a dynojet with those numbers

more importantly i like how the cams change the graph to an upward slope for higher rpm fun

nicely done!

Damn, Eric is gettin the hook-up!

But seriously, that will be great to see the power difference with the new S1 and "old" 272/280's. Very cool.

Actually I asked eric to put in his stock intake cam. so he has a stock intake cam and 272 gsc exhaust.

S1's and S2's will be avalible from any of our distributors after the holidays. we have a very limited supply of S1's to the tone of 7 that will be avalible threw us directly. they will be ready to ship before the christmas holiday. after the holiday they will all be redially avalible.

Greg
