Has anyone used the HKS oil cooler kit on a street/race car/drag car up to 1000hp??Will it cause any oil pressure/flow problems or anything else i should know..?

Have been using that on my 750 WHP Evo 6 for years now without a single oil flow or pressure problem. ITs perfect. HAve done circuit racing, and drag racing. No probs...its good.

Almost all of the Japanese kits use thermostat controlled fliter relocators. Normally the thermo only allows 10% of the oil to flow to the cooler when the engine is cold and no more than 80% when the engine is hot. This is done to prevent oil pressure loss.
A better alternative would be to get an aftermarket thermo for the OEM setup and add a Setrab or Earls cooler in place of the OEM cooler.

There are better coolers on the market than the over priced HKS setups. I realize the HKS parts are probably readily available but it never hurts to shop for something that performs better and has more "bang to the buck" value. I just wanted to let you know that there are other options available.

My car was more like a weekend circuit car before I made it a drag car... WEight is not an issue though but the temperature reduction is significant...more like insurance for me
