I dont recommend doing that. Upgrading a turbo on a basically stock car is not advisable. We recommend at least going through our stages 1-4 before looking at a turbo upgrade.

Thats why those modifications you are looking at going around are called "supporting mods". They support the new found power. After you open up the stock turbo you might not want to change it out.

when people talk about spool at 4k with a stroker on the 3065 are you talking full spool or just begining? I autoX and DD and eventually TT so i want to find a turbo that will let me be decent in autoX but pull all the way to redline on the track where the car will eventually end up at full time duty and ill find some beater to autoX and DD.

im not opposed to using meth either for dd and then be looking for 500 whp on race gas and meth using the meth as a saftey net on the race track.

The last time I was in a car with a rather larger turbo and a stroker, when 4-4.5k hit, the last thing you noticed was what the boost level was at, at that particular moment in time....

the 3065 is a great turbo and with a stroker I'd guess....yeah, its going to hit pretty dang hard at 4k so I wouldn't worry.

Meth injection is a great tool, but I prefer to see cars tuned safely without it, and like you said, use a safety net at the track. best of luck

thanks man this wont happen for a while just starting to do some research. for the satey net id tune on racegas at like 11.0 afrs and then add the meth so i wouldnt be utilizing it at all.

street driving using the meth at like 11.2-3 afrs seems reasonable but who knows. jrod got any imput?

How much power would you lose using the MAF sensor? I heard of some turbos pulling the honeycomb from the MAF. Is this one of them or is that a myth?

We never did a 50 trim test. We have them listed on our site for sale, have told many people we will build a 50 trim for out manifold and still have never seen an order.................

If you are looking for a 50 trim, get the EVO Green turbo from us. It's already gone 10's at 130 mph and bolts right on.

The 50 and the green are similar in terms of flow, but i have to imagine the green shoud spool quicker. Hey DB, whats the hotside A/R on those 50 trims? Do you think a .48 would spice things up in terms of boost threshhold and bring it closer to the green? I wonder which turbo would peak higher HP......
