Comparison GT3037S 52T and GT3071R (-23 CHRA) ?

Hi all , I was wondering if anyone has ever done back to back testing of the GT3037 52T and Garretts GT3071R (the real one not the "WG" version) . I am interested in peoples opinions of the 76.2mm 52T compressor compared to the 71.1mm 56T . We have not seen too many 3071R's in Australia and I get the feeling that they need slightly smaller A/R turbine housings to get the speed of the 71.1mm compressor up enough to build boost . My gut feeling is that the 52T 76.2mm compressor may give a better all round result than the 71.1mm because its larger diametre would give it higher exducer tip speed for the same rotating assembly rpm . You Mitsy peopy have just about tried just about everything except water pump wheels so can anyone tell the story of the above turbos , so mid trim larger compressor vs large trim smaller wheel .

Also have you noticed how you never tend to see the real GT3071R with Garretts optional TO4E .60 A/R port shrouded compressor housing like Garretts GT3076R or the GT3037"S" turbos use .

Cheers and thanks , Adrian .

I can only give you my oppinion on the 3076r's with 52T and 56T.The 52T lacks the midrange and topend punch of the 56T.Not worth the lag of a 3076 with the 52T.From the dyno charts Ive seen with the 3071r all of which have been 56T's my preference would be the 3071r.

I have the gt3037r, the one found on full-race.com. I think it rocks. I hit 25psi in the low to mid 4k range and am currently putting out 459hp at 25psi on 100 octane. I also have the 4" ported shroud. Just an FYI...........RRR
