wierd noise?

its kinda odd, it sounds like when you put a baseball card in your bike spokes to make that sound. It only happens when i'm on the gas, as soon as i let off the gas it goes away, i can't figure what it is, at idle i hear nothing? Any help? couldn't be drivetrain cuase i don't hear it when i'm not on the gas but still rolling...

I hear the same sound, its only when Im under boost. its slow at first then speeds up as boost increases. I hear it most in 5th gear. Kinda sounds like a ticking from an Igniter on a BBQ grill.

Is it like a clattering sound. Does it sound like it might be your head? Is it when the motor is under a load. You may be hearing some det.

Take it to your local shop and let them take a look at it. They are the trained pros. It is hard to tell what the problem is just by a sound discription. It could be a million things. IMO

Actually, I just found out its the boost controller, the sound tapers off when I hit peak boost. From what I understand its regulating the vacuum to the wastegate..... what an annoying noise.. But thank god its not a bad thing!!!

A burnt gasket? It sounds just like a card in the spokes of a bike? I hear the noise even when reving (3k and higher). How about you?

A burnt gasket could be due to the lack there of a head stud upgrade...correct?
