Poeple have this rush about BOV that I don't understand.. The best BOV for minor mods is indeed the stock one that comes on your Evo 9.
Later on when you start boosting the hell of the turbo then you might replace it. Whatever you replace it with get a recirculating one unless you go with a big turbokit then get a Tial.
As far is the sound, you will be amaized on how the stock BOV sounds when you run anaftermarket air filter

The stock BOV on the Evo 9 are indeed better than other aftermarket BOVs. Put the original back with the BR filter that you already have and you wouldn't regret.
On your GSX it was an improvement because the GSX have a cheap plastic BOV known to leak so on that case was a improvement.
As I said before, unless you are boosting a lot you should replacing the already bad a$$ stock BOV.

your problem is that you're running a crappy aftermarket bov.
go back to your stock 9 DV, which works perfectly. if you ever VTA, you WILL run into driveability issues. the stock DV is good for like 25psi...anything higher would be a good reason to upgrade...but not to a VTA bov of course.

I wont deny that the Greddy is not the best BOV on the market however.

^^^I don't concur at all. The stock BOV with the air intake to BOV hose unpluged will cause you partial unwanted hesitation that othwerwise wouldn't exist if the BOV hose was properly plugged.
Additionally when driving the car in hard conditions the BOV will actually partially get stuck open giving you slow spool up and lost of boost..
