3076 On a IX ??
Does anyone have a BR3076 or similar with a IX? I have seen data on the VIIIs but have heard that on the IX the 3076 may spool up a lot quicker due to the MIVEC. If so would you please tell me about your setup, peak boost / lag, and hp / tq curves. I am interested in more power but don't want to lose power 4500 rpm. Thanks

honestly and obviously turbos will spool up faster on the ix then the viii for that reason... as long as your mivec is adjust properly. I'm on my stock turbo and i hit full boost by 3K which was recently changed from 4K.... the MIVEC is amazing for tuning. Im sorry i dont have any hard evidence to give you because i dont have a 3076 but would love one lol.... im interested as well

We have been running the 3076 turbo on a customers car for about a year and a half and it is an awesome setup for s tock based EVO. His car see's full boost around 3600-3800 rpm on a 100% stock longblock and ran 11.31@126 w/ a best mph of 128.

The ATP 3037/3076 (same thing) that was tested LONG LONG ago (SmokinJoe had it I believe) kinda had the answer to this question. It can improve the spool by as much as 1000 rpm between a good map (not specified though, so I cant tell how much advance there was) and 0* of advance. It went from 4500 off to 3500 on. Assuming that he was using a JDM RS type map that would be the max increase in spool. If SLS is seeing those numbers and I am guessing its on an 8, a IX should be better still.
Bigric knows all about the difference between a good MIVEC map and a great MIVEC map.

Pure playaer. I have been thinkin about doin a turbo upgrade for a while. What kinda power are you making and how is the spool on the 35. Im lookin for around 450 whp on pump. I aint sure if i wanna go 50trim 35R or 3076 yet tho.

The amount of money you spend to do a 3076 and the power you make (which isnt much more than a stage 4 evo) you might as well get the 35r. To me really its either the 35r or stock turbo.

35R and 30R are not even relatviely close in size. Like i mentioned before we've went high mph of 128 w/ a stock, intake, cams, longblock w/ a 30R, idk where your figureing they dont make power.
