I Like the way your cars sound with those cams in I saw it today down at the shop and I sounds and feels good I am going o put them in my car now. I still need to put it on the dyno and get a base # then throw in the cams and see what it dose on my car.

I have BC 272, with stock retainers and springs, installed on my Car, lope is good and stealth. After my tune I picked up around 20whp reaching 300whp. Before my cams I was around 279whp, my car pulled great towards readline with the stock '05 turbo. Great bang for the buck for $320 shipped from a local vendor.

I have an 05 MR with brian crower 272 springs and retainers put in about 2000 miles ago. Great cams and with springs my rev limiter is set to 8200. I have full exhaust intake and 24psi boost making 335whp on 90 degree day. I do think these cams make slightly less hp than some other like hks but then again revolvers or jun will make even more but I think the super smooth idle is worth it. So basically in the interest of making a little more power maybe go 280's but Ihave no complaints with my BC cams.

do the recommend upgradeing the springs and retainers? I wanted to do head and cams at the same time but I dont have the money to do a turbo too. Other said that the head will out flow the stock VIII turbo soo I guess I do cams if I can keep the stock internals

Yes the recommend it but why wouldn't they all the company's want to sell you more parts. Bottom line you don't need them until you hit 280's but it will idle nicer and you can rev higher.

BC recommends that if you do 280's(stage 3's) that you need to replace the springs/retainers, but with the 272's(stage 2's) you do not need to. That's how they explained it to me. I am on the stock springs/retainers and haven't had a problem at all. Redline 8000.

I don't have a before dyno, but with my mods (see sig) I put down 322 at AMS. Not bad since I got my BC cams for 200 bucks.

Unless it is a higher milage engine......springs do fatigue over time.
They're not expensive & good piece of mind.
